The 52nd Precinct station house is a three-story brick building & clock tower, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1904-06, designed by Stoughton and Stoughton. It’s visible from the Metro North Harlem line, just north of the Botanical Garden stop, just west of the tracks.
The Bronx War Memorial, honoring the veterans of WW1, depicts a soldier protecting his wounded comrade; it is a block away on Mosholu Parkway. I love the rifle with fixed bayonet.
