I met my friend, Zao Zao Wang, for a late afternoon shoot in New York City’s Chinatown and the Lower East Side. Along Grand Street, we found crowds of people, vegetable stands, park benches, construction sites, graffiti, and other photogenic urban backdrops.

Zao Zao is a Columbia University graduate with about 10 years of professional bilingual hosting/MCing experience for galas, celebrity fan club events, TV interviews, and concerts in China and the United States. The 400+ events that she has hosted include such venues as New York Fashion Week, the United Nations, Capitol Hill, and China Institute. Now, she is working as the star host in JZI Studio LLC and Fashion Galaxy Alliance in New York City.
