My friend Neil emailed me about his old neighborhood, his apartment building, DWC High School & its notable alumni, the impact of Tracey Towers, etc. So my sister and I went to see for ourselves.

We chatted with a couple of cops who were keeping an eye on the afternoon dismissal from DeWitt Clinton. When I asked the cop if the students were allowed to bring phones into school, he responded, “Are you from Montana or something? They’d be setting up fights on Facebook and we’d have 200 kids out here in a gang fight.”
