Guy collecting cans
Chatted with this guy about collecting and redeeming cans and bottles. I was delighted that he thought I was interested in collecting them myself.
Working eight hours, he could make fifty dollars. But today he wasn’t putting in that much time, just enough for laundry money, he said. Certain buildings on certain days of the week were most profitable.
Redeeming them was not too much of a problem, but he was very interested to hear about Sure We Can. He knew which stores in the area were convenient to make redemptions.
Not a homeless guy. In warm weather he works as a bicycle mechanic.
