Collared Lemur

Living in a small range of southeastern Madagascar, this species Eulemur collaris, is one of twelve brown lemur species. Threatened in the wild, it does well in zoos, including New York’s Bronx Zoo, in the Madagascar exhibit, of course.

The male is easily distinguished by the black crown of his head.
